Wells Fargo – Neighborhood LIFT Program
Believe it or not, there are still spots
left to receive charitable money on a home purchase from Wells Fargo!! Wells Fargo launched, NeighborhoodLIFT, a down
payment assistance program in collaboration with the City of Charlotte.
Wells Fargo still has a significant number
of $15,000 grants given on first come first serve basis. The $15,000 is to be used as additional
down payment money. It is a second lien with 0% interest and fully forgiven after 5 years! It is available for
the purchase of owner –occupied primary residences. Homes must be located within the Charlotte
City limits. As of January 13, they had 104 spots left for reservations for
this money.
You can also pair this with the
Community Development Program (CDMP) requiring 2% down payment and no PMI. LIFT
funds may apply toward down payment and closing costs for this program
only.
*Other
criteria for CDMP: 640 credit score, verifiable rent history, and max income
limit of $51,280.
